The Fahrenheit Union of Universities in Gdańsk (FarU) announces the call for entries for the 5th edition of the ‘Fahrenheit Champions of Cooperation’ competition. Grants of up to 30,000 zł await the best ideas submitted by students, doctoral students, academic staff, or science circles from the universities that make up FarU!
True innovation arises at the intersection of disciplines. By combining medical, technological, artistic and socio-scientific knowledge, solutions are created that have a real impact on the world around us. The ‘Fahrenheit Champions of Cooperation’ competition offers an opportunity to turn ideas into real projects - without having to commit your own financial resources.
Entries are accepted in four categories:
- Research and scientific projects - funding of up to 10,000 zł per project for a maximum of 3 teams.
- Projects with a social impact (culture, sport, health, ecology, popularisation of science, innovation and new technologies, activities for the local community, and others) - funding of up to 5,000 zł per project for a maximum of 3 teams.
- Innovative prototypes - funding of up to 30,000 zł per project for a maximum of 3 teams, thanks to support from Aramco Europe.
- Innovative solutions for the region (projects for the Pomeranian Voivodeship) - funding of up to 30,000 zł for 1 team. The partners for this track are: Gdańsk Economic Development Agency Ltd (GARG), Pomerania Development Agency Plc (ARP S.A.), and the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone Ltd (PSSE).
The competition is open to inter-university teams comprising a maximum of 10 participants. A team must take one of the following forms:
- at least two science circles from two different universities among MUG, GdańskTech, UG, aMUZ and ASP;
- an inter-university science circle operating at these universities;
