The Polish-German Foundation for Science will co-finance research by scientists from the University of Gdańsk in the project ‘Young entrepreneurs in Poland and Germany. Two legal systems, three perspectives: economic law, labour law, financial law’, led by the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk.

The project will be carried out in partnership with the University of Giessen - head dr Magdalena Jaś-Nowopolska, the Jagiellonian University in Krakow - heads dr hab. Michał Biliński and dr hab. Tomasz Długosz, the Stanisław Wojciechowski University of Kalisz (Institute of Legal Sciences) - head dr hab. Ewa Szewczyk, prof. UK and the C.H. Beck Publishing House - manager dr Joanna Ablewicz.
The project aims to support scientific research on the legal aspects of conducting business activity by minors under Polish and German law from three perspectives (commercial law, labour law, and financial law). A legal analysis based on two legal systems will enable assessing whether minors can effectively and independently conduct business activity in EU Member States. This will allow for the formulation of proposals de lege ferenda and de lege lata regarding public law solutions in the area of business activity conducted by minors. This objective will be served by the scientific nature of all activities (scientific events) undertaken as part of the project, i.e.: (1) a scientific conference; (2) a series of scientific interviews; (3) the launch of a scientific forum on the University of Gdańsk's Educational Portal; (4) the publication of a scientific publication. All activities are intended to transfer knowledge and experience between representatives of Polish and German legal science. In addition, they will build lasting cooperation between the project partners.
