Following the success of projects such as ‘Adele songbook’, ‘Beat it, ladies! Female interpretations of Michael Jackson’ and the latest ‘Back to boogie!’, the UG Vocal Studio invites you to another musical event on 24 October. This time, it will be a unique performance of the concert ‘TIME’.
The artists will encourage you to pause and experience beautiful moments together at the St. John's Centre in Gdańsk. It is here that an encounter with music that questions the fleeting and elusive, yet lingers in sounds and emotions, will give the concert a new, symbolic and even deeper dimension.
In a carefully thought-out musical and textual narrative, the vocalists of the UG Vocal Studio will draw on the works of Natalia Kukulska, Kora, Igor Herbut, Anna Maria Jopek, Dawid Podsiadło, Edyta Bartosiewicz and Anna Karwan, among others. It will be intimate, diverse and in a formula inspired by unplugged concerts. We will hear songs such as: ‘Ruchome piaski’ (Shifting Sands), ‘Tylko mnie poproś do tańca’ (Just Ask Me to Dance), “Zegar” (Clock), ‘Ale jestem’ (But I Am) and ‘Jutro możemy być szczęśliwi’ (Tomorrow We Can Be Happy).
Krzysztof Majda, a renowned vocalist, instrumentalist, songwriter, arranger and music producer, is responsible for the artistic side of the project. In 2017, he released the album ‘Bieg zdarzeń. Tribute to Turnau’ (The Course of Events. Tribute to Turnau). He actively performs on the biggest music stages in Poland and is invited to various projects as a singer, arranger and producer (most recently at the Roma Theatre, among others). He has collaborated with Anna Wyszkoni, Stanisław Soyka, Tadeusz Woźniak and the band Zakopower, with whom he performed at the Royal Albert Hall. Since 2021, he has been successfully running the UG Vocal Studio, being the originator and musical director of top projects such as ‘Adele Songbook’, ‘Beat it, ladies!’, ‘Back to boogie!’, and many others.
