The 140th anniversary of Witkacy's birth, the 55th anniversary of the University of Gdańsk and 40 years of artistic activity of the St. I. Witkiewicz Theatre in Zakopane - these three anniversaries were reflected in the ceremonial inauguration of the 2025/2026 academic year at the University of Gdańsk. As part of the event, we had the opportunity to see two unique performances by the Witkacy Theatre, directed by Andrzej Dziuk, entitled ‘Ccy - Witkac-y. Menażeria’ and ‘Metafizyka dwugłowego cielęcia’ ('The Metaphysics of the Two-Headed Calf') on the university campus. We invite you to view the photo report!

The performances were produced with funds from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, and we were able to watch them thanks to the financial support of the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship and the Marshal of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.
