On August 29, 2025, the University of Gdańsk will host the international Q-Con conference. This unique event is dedicated to the latest achievements in the field of quantum technologies, artificial intelligence and deep tech. The conference will be attended by over 200 participants from 25 countries, including representatives of universities, research institutions, start-ups, and corporations. The rich programme includes discussion panels, R&D project presentations, networking sessions and practical workshops. The conference is held under the patronage of the Perspektywy Educational Foundation.
Q-Con 2025 is a space for visionary innovators, entrepreneurs and scientists from around the world who want to combine theory with practice in the quantum era.
‘The conference is being held at the University of Gdańsk, and this is no coincidence. It is here that a thriving research centre of global renown has developed. Now we are initiating a discussion on how the development of quantum technologies, to which we have contributed, will affect our lives,’ says dr hab. Marcin Marciniak, prof. UG, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics at the University of Gdańsk.
It is not only a forum for strategic thinking about quantum technologies, but also a space to explore the broader landscape of deep tech and the role of start-ups in shaping Europe's technological sovereignty.
'Q-Con is an international event dedicated to the latest achievements in quantum technologies and their applications in science, business and education. The conference brings together leading scientists and representatives of industry, public institutions and international organisations, creating a unique space for the exchange of knowledge and experience. We want to show that quantum technology is not a distant future, but real projects and businesses already today,' emphasises prof. M. Marciniak.
The conference will be attended by over 200 participants from 25 countries, including representatives of universities, research institutions, start-ups and corporations. The rich programme includes discussion panels, R&D project presentations, networking sessions and practical workshops.
Why is it worth participating in the event?
• You will learn about case studies of quantum solutions implemented in cybersecurity and finance
• You will meet industry leaders and build international contacts
• You will learn how to build a sovereign quantum industry (deep tech, dual use, start-ups)
• You will learn about the EU's strategy on quantum technologies and post-quantum cryptography (regulation, deregulation)
The conference will be an opportunity to build cross-border cooperation in Europe (networking, breaking down silos) and to raise awareness of issues related to STEM education.
The Q-Con Quantum Conference 2025 will be accompanied by many events dedicated to quantum physics. From August 25 to September 4, the Quantum Summer School (Q Camp) will take place, on 28 August (Thursday), we invite you to Q Docks (thematic tables and networking with Startup Harbour), and from 29 to 31 August, Q-Hack & Re:renesans - Hackathon of Art, Science and Technology will take place, co-organised by the University of Gdańsk and the CODE:ME Foundation.
The international Q-Con conference is organised by the University of Gdańsk, Kainos, the International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies and the CODE:ME Foundation.
