Euro-Trans 2025 Conference. Challenges in the transport and logistics sector
On September 22-23, 2025, the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk will host the 21st International Euro-Trans Conference ‘Towards Sustainable and Interconnected Transport and Logistics Networks’. Scientists, experts and representatives of carriers and infrastructure operators will discuss the challenges facing the transport and logistics sector in the face of global economic, technological and environmental changes.
For years, the Euro-Trans conference has been a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience between science, business and public administration, promoting the development of innovative and responsible solutions for the future of transport.
The 21st edition of the event will focus on issues related to decarbonisation and sustainable development, as well as improving the efficiency of transport and logistics services in changing conditions, with an increasing emphasis on safety, resilience and the individualisation of services tailored to the needs of specific supply chains.
The conference will take the form of an interdisciplinary debate on the technical and organisational means of achieving sustainable transport objectives, while ensuring its economic efficiency and high-quality integrated services, made possible by greater interoperability and cooperation across the sector. There will also be panel discussions on air, rail and maritime transport.
The inaugural lecture will be given by prof. Anne Graham from the University of Westminster. Other invited guests include prof. Thierry Vanelslander from the University of Antwerp and Sebastian Belz from the European Platform of Transport Sciences, an independent association of organisations active in the field of transport sciences. Representatives of local government institutions and transport companies have also confirmed their participation, including: the Central Communication Port, the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency, Enter Air, Gdańsk Airport, Modlin Airport, the Pro-Kolej Foundation, the Port of Gdańsk, and scientific communities from Poland and abroad.
The event is organised by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk, the Institute of Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility of the Warsaw School of Economics, and the Institute of Management of the University of Szczecin.
