The competition took place on 11-12 October 2025 in Poznań. Three students from the University of Gdańsk, associated with the ASA UG judo section, took part in the competition.

‘I won the gold medal. This is my seventh gold medal in the Polish Championships and my first championship title in the senior category, which means that I have gold medals in the Polish Championships in every age category in which I have competed, starting with the junior category,’ commented Agata Pałka immediately after the competition. She competed in the -78 kg category.

‘This medal is a huge success for our student, who is the backbone of the ASA University of Gdańsk judo section. In the spring, she will represent us at the Polish Academic Judo Championships, which will be held in Białystok. Last year, Agata brought home a silver medal in the overall classification from Podlasie,’ summarised ASA UG President Piotr Walczak.

Other representatives of the University of Gdańsk also competed in the Poznań competition. Journalism and social communication student Dominika Kużma-Ebel took 5th place in the -78 kg category. Marcin Kotlik from the Faculty of Economics competed in the -66 kg category, finishing outside the top eight. The experience gained will certainly pay off in future competitions!
