The Gdańsk Branch of the PAS has announced a call for applications for the 11th edition of the annual Gdańsk Branch of the PAS Award for Young Scientists. The award will be granted for the best scientific publication of 2025, whose lead author is an employee or doctoral student of a scientific institution (including a university) from the Pomeranian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian or West Pomeranian provinces. Applications for the award can be submitted until 31 March 2026.
The award is granted for original research achievements published in the year preceding the submission of the application for the award, equally to five winners in the following fields of science: 1) humanities and social sciences, 2) biological and agricultural sciences, 3) exact and earth sciences, 4) technical sciences, 5) medical sciences.
Basic information:
- The award is granted to employees or doctoral students of scientific institutions in the provinces of Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Pomorskie and Zachodniopomorskie who, in the year preceding the submission of the application, met the definition of a young scientist within the meaning of Article 360(2) of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science.
- Applications for the Award should be submitted in electronic form to the following address: gdansk@pas.pl from 15 January to 31 March this year.
- The results of the competition will be published by 31 May this year on the website www.gdansk.pas.pl.
- The amount of each award is PLN 4,000 gross.
