Representatives of the University of Gdańsk (UG) and Bechtel Polska, the main contractor for the construction of Poland's first nuclear power plant in Lubiatowo-Kopalino in the municipality of Choczewo, have begun a series of working meetings as part of a strategic cooperation agreement. The meeting, attended by representatives of both entities, took place on July 29, 2025, at the Centre for Sustainable Development of the University of Gdańsk (CZRUG), and was aimed at developing the first joint projects resulting from the agreement signed on June 30, 2025.

During the meeting, the research potential of the University of Gdańsk's scientific disciplines was presented, along with the results of research conducted at the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Management and the Faculty of Chemistry, which were relevant to the theme of the meeting.
