One-year internship at Fahrenheit Universities: recruitment for a scholarship programme for foreign doctoral students is now open

Recruitment is underway for the next edition of the Fahrenheit Scholarship Programme of the Mayor of Gdańsk for foreign doctoral students, which offers the opportunity to expand research teams at Fahrenheit Universities by accepting a scholarship holder for a period of 12 months.

Until June 15, doctoral students from abroad can submit applications and compete for a one-year scholarship of PLN 6,500 per month, combined with an internship at one of the universities forming the Fahrenheit Universities. Winners will also be provided with accommodation and travel expenses.

At the application stage, candidates should indicate the host university (Medical University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk University of Technology or University of Gdańsk) where they plan to continue their research as part of their doctoral thesis and support the university's research teams in their daily work during the internship.

Benefits of participating in the scholarship programme:

  • a one-year internship at one of the FarU universities
  • conducting interdisciplinary scientific research as part of your doctoral thesis
  • reimbursement of travel expenses up to PLN 6,500
  • a scholarship of PLN 6,500 (net) per month for the entire duration of your stay

  • gaining international experience
  • establishing new contacts

  • announcement of competition results: September 15, 2025
  • internship period: January 1 to December 31, 2026
