The Central Communication Port and the University of Gdańsk have signed a cooperation agreement on scientific and teaching activities and the preparation and implementation of investments.

CCP identifies its staffing needs for its investments in advance, including by determining staffing requirements and the availability of specialists in selected areas. On this basis, cooperation is established with the aim of recruiting and optimally preparing future employees.

The agreement signed by dr Filip Czernicki, President of CCP, and prof. dr hab. Piotr Stepnowski, Rector of the University of Gdańsk, will include consultations on the route of railway lines; organising internships and visits for students to the company's organisational units; CPC employees giving selected lectures to students and university staff providing training, courses and postgraduate studies; joint formulation of thesis topics and employment of graduates in the company's organisational units.

The University of Gdańsk is one of the leading scientific and research centres in Poland, educating specialists and conducting research in areas such as law, spatial planning, traffic modelling, logistics and management. The cooperation between the University of Gdańsk and CCP will contribute to the education of high-class specialists necessary for the investment, but will also be crucial for the achievement of educational and research goals at our university,’ said prof. Piotr Stepnowski, Rector of the University of Gdańsk.

The signing of the agreement stems from the real need of the CCP to recruit lawyers specialising in proceedings conducted under the Act on Spatial Planning and Development, including proceedings concerning decisions on land development and management conditions, or in cases concerning compensation or purchase of real estate. Experts in this field are educated at the University of Gdańsk. I am delighted that experts from the university will be involved in the implementation of the investment from today,’ emphasised dr Filip Czernicki, President of CCP.
