3, 2, 1, go! Enrolment for studies at the University of Gdańsk has begun

Rekrutacja

Would you like to study at the University of Gdańsk? You can now register! The Internet Registration System for Candidates (IRK) was launched on June 3. This year, you can choose from over 90 fields of study (15 of them available in English), and our university has prepared nearly 11,500 places for new students.

There is plenty to choose from: the University of Gdańsk's rich offer includes fields of study in various disciplines, from exact and natural sciences to humanities and social sciences. There are also English-language programmes available. Those who feel that one programme is not enough can apply for Individual Interdisciplinary Studies (separate recruitment, information in Polish only).

New this year are joint programmes with European coastal universities of the SEA-EU alliance, conducted in English: Sea-BluE, STORM, MIPMAL. These require separate recruitment (more HERE).

Before you register, here are some things to keep in mind:

  • In order to verify your eligibility and to have your grades converted from a diploma issued abroad (doesn't apply to candidates for bachelor studies holding International Baccalaureate nor European Baccalaureate), you should upload the set of documents listed below no later than 5 working days before the end of the registration for the chosen field of study  in the IRK system after creating your account (more information available here).
  • Check the dates! Application deadlines vary for different fields of study, so it is a good idea to find out about them in advance.
  • The dates of recruitment for studies are available on the UG Recruitment website and in the individual degree programme cards.

Why is it worth studying at UG?

Answer by dr hab. Urszula Patocka-Sigłowy, Prof. UG, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs:

‘Our University is not only the largest university in the region with a wide range of study programmes. It is a place where, in addition to gaining knowledge and essential skills, you can develop your passions and pursue your dreams.’

You can pursue your passions and dreams not only through your dream studies, but also through numerous research clubs and sections related to culture and sport.

And what do students say about studying at UG? See for yourself!
